- €35,000 – €45,000
- North Vicenza, Italy
- Permanent
- Hands-on R&D environment
- Direct impact on laser system performance
JOB DETAILS
This role sits within an R&D environment focused on laser-based systems used in high-precision industrial applications.
The focus is on optical performance, testing, and validation — working directly with laser systems in a lab-based setting.
You will act as the internal specialist for optical setup, testing, and optimisation, ensuring laser systems perform reliably when integrated into real-world applications.
This is a practical, hands-on role, not a purely theoretical or simulation-based position.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and optimise laser optical setups and beam paths
- Work hands-on with optical tables, test benches, and lab instrumentation
- Perform alignment, calibration, and validation of optical systems
- Define and execute testing procedures for laser performance
- Troubleshoot and improve system behaviour through experimental work
- Support integration of validated optical systems into wider platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure performance in real applications
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on experience with laser optical systems
- Experience working in lab environments (optical tables / test benches)
- Strong understanding of beam behaviour, alignment, and calibration
- Practical troubleshooting and experimental mindset
- Experience validating and testing optical performance
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Photonics or a related field
- Extensive hands-on experience in the design, optimisation and troubleshooting of laser optical systems
- Strong practical experience working with optical tables, test benches and laboratory instrumentation
- Proven ability to align, calibrate and validate laser and optical systems in real-world environments
- Solid understanding of beam behaviour, optical paths and system performance optimisation
- Experience translating theoretical optical principles into practical, working systems
